What's With The Name?
Our *(slightly sleep-deprived)* origin story!
It all started with a late-night conversation. The kind that stretches until the sun comes up, fueled by creativity, deep thoughts, and maybe a little too much midnight snacking.
Back then, I was already a freelance designer. But before that? I spent a decade writing website copy and content—way back to my virtual assistant era in 2011 (because, let’s be real, I needed funds for my movie nights and cafe-hopping obsession). For years, I stayed in my little introverted bubble, working behind the screen, thinking talent alone would get me where I wanted to go.
Spoiler: it didn’t.
Then 2021 hit. The pandemic made us all rethink our paths, and for me, that meant stepping out of my comfort zone. I started putting myself out there—networking, meeting other freelancers, joining online communities.Â

And that’s when I found my people. The creatives who just got it. The ones who pushed me forward, challenged my ideas, and reminded me that I didn’t have to do this alone.Â

We became The Breakfast Club (not the movie), talking, brainstorming, and sometimes just keeping each other sane until sunrise.
That's how the vision for *The Agency Cafe* was born
That little community wasn’t just a lifeline—it was proof that creativity thrives when we do things together.
I wanted to expand that vision, give opportunities to other designers, and serve clients with heart.
More than that, I wanted to prove that website design is a real profession, one that deserves just as much respect as being a lawyer, doctor, or engineer (shoutout to my parents for finally getting it).
Today, The Agency Cafe helps service professionals build, grow, and scale with websites that actually work. On the flip side, we’re also building a directory of vetted designers—trained, supported, and certified by us—because this industry needs more community and less competition.
